"Dornoch Derby a great success"

Dornoch AcademySaturday's Dornoch Derby and garden party, organized by pupils of Dornoch Academy, was a great success according to John Thurso MP who was honoured to be invited. Well over a hundred guests were treated to a host of activities created by pupils of the school. Guests could bet on recorded horse races, could enjoy the garden party, take in a fashion show and participate in an auction and bag themselves memorabilia donated by celebrities such as Sir Alex Ferguson or Sir Ian McKellan.

Jamie Stone MSP opened the event with a short speech. Money raised is going towards the purchase of a people carrier which will allow pupils to go on educational trips
